What’s new? We increased our health reimbursement account from $1,500 to $2,000. We initiated a program to help pay 20% of daycare and half of school lunch expenses for employees under a certain salary threshold. We started a scholarship program to award 10 scholarships to college-aged children of NorthPoint associates.
For companies at the Best Places to Work level, what benefits are expected, and what is considered above and beyond? The standard medical, dental and vision coverage should be expected, but Best Places to Work should think outside the box, stay on top of latest trends, consider the needs of their employees, and look for ways to add additional value to the benefits package.
How do you plan to remain a Best Place to Work in the future? We aim to continue doing what we are doing. We will maintain our company culture of appreciation, respect and transparency. We will continue to find innovative ways to enhance the lives of our employees. We will put our people first and always do the right thing.
Where do you get your ideas for perks, benefits and activities? We listen to our people, stay up to date on the latest trends, think outside the box and consider how a benefit or perk affects our associates.
Corporate philanthropy: NorthPoint has contributed over $3.5 million toward various organizations since the company began in 2011. We match 100% of our employees’ charitable endeavors.
