With 16 years of commercial real estate experience, Nathaniel is responsible for the overall strategy of the company and is principally focused on guiding development, equity relationships, leasing and management activities for the ﬁrm.
Nathaniel has raised over $5,500,000,000 in capital in the last six years for our various real estate investments. Our firm now owns / manages in excess of 68,100,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and over 3,500 apartments.
With 20 years of industrial engineering and construction experience, Chad is responsible for the general oversight & growth of development, brownfield re-development and Design Build industrial construction for NorthPoint Development projects nationwide. Currently, NorthPoint has over 68,100,000 SF of industrial projects completed, and is on track to double industrial deliveries nationally in the next twenty four months.
Prior to joining NorthPoint Development, Chad served as the Regional Director of ARCO National Construction and an Industrial Systems Engineer at GE.
As Chief Asset Management Officer, Kelly is responsible for the management and oversight of NorthPoint’s managed real estate holdings inclusive of the Industrial and Multi-Family portfolios. Kelly has over 15 years of successful property management and business development experience including an extensive background in portfolio management and property operations.
Kelly’s expertise includes new construction, lease-up, acquisitions, value-add and dispositions. She is a CAPS designate through the National Apartment Association and is a graduate of the Lyceum Program. Kelly actively serves on the Board of Directors as the Vice Chairman and co-chair for the Community Outreach Committee for the Apartment Association of Kansas City.
With 15 years of economic development experience, Brent is responsible for development prospects, incentive offers and approvals, and governmental relations. Brent’s day to day tasks include contracts for incentives, real estate and land development negotiations, and governmental financing structures.
In addition to his role at NorthPoint Development, Brent is President of NorthPoint Incentive Consultants (NPIC) which assists businesses with Federal, State, Local, and Utility Incentive packages. During his career, Brent has procured more than 600 incentive programs for clients.
As Chief Investment Officer, Mark is responsible for overseeing NorthPoint’s investment activity, developing and structuring capital relationships, and evaluating new development opportunities.
Mark joined NorthPoint in 2012 and has held various project management and executive roles within the company with direct experience in Industrial, Multifamily, Senior Living, Self Storage, and Infrastructure development. These experiences provide a deep and direct development expertise across many asset classes which has shaped NorthPoint’s approach to evaluating and structuring investment opportunities to align partner interests, optimize the probability for success, and minimize downside risk.
Mark earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
With 20 years of construction experience in a wide array of market sectors including
industrial, office, senior living, and retail, Larry is responsible for overseeing various projects
from entitlement through construction. His civil engineering background coupled with national experience helps ensure project efficiency not only during construction but the
initial planning and design phases as well.
Prior to joining NorthPoint Development, Larry
served as the Vice President of Operations at Brinkmann Constructors.
Bob has spent his career in industrial real estate construction, brokerage and development. He is part of a team responsible for NorthPoint’s acquisition of industrial buildings, build-to-suit sites and speculative warehouse development.
Bob joined NorthPoint in 2013 and has supported the company’s growth to over 65 million square feet of industrial in 23 states.
During his 19-year career, Patrick has been involved in the development and planning of over 2,700 acres of commercial and residential projects throughout the United States, with a primary focus on the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Over the past eight years, Patrick has had direct responsibility for some of the largest residential and industrial developments in Kansas City.
In his current role, Patrick is focused on identifying, evaluating, and executing new real estate development opportunities.
With over 20 years of experience in real estate development, Johan provides expertise that incorporates development, site selection, business and economic incentives procurement, capital market solutions, and construction project management for client-specific BTS solutions.
As Chief Strategy Officer Jed is involved throughout the development process and is responsible for representing and acting in the Company’s and Investor’s best interest in all aspects of the project. Jed’s primary role is to assist with the oversight of the entitlement and design development process and direct the construction activities to ensure adherence to the project scope, schedule, and budget.
Before Joining NorthPoint Jed was a Project Manager for Brinkmann Constructors. Jed has 8 years of design/build and project management experience. Jed has managed several senior living product types during the preconstruction, construction, and turnover phases ranging from large independent living facilities to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing communities.
Brian manages NorthPoint
Development’s Site Selection efforts for Beyond Self Storage across 14 states and 15 markets. In addition to site selection, Brian acts as Supervising Broker leading
NorthPoint’s third-party brokerage division to over $100M in cumulative third-party sales and leasing transactions.
As NorthPoint’s first hire, Brian’s passion for people has helped grow the organization to over 400 employees in seven years.
With over 20 years of engineering, design and construction experience, John is responsible for oversight and development of NorthPoint’s Kansas City area industrial market sector. This role includes industrial park master planning, building development and construction. John has developed over 10 million square feet of bulk warehouse distribution and manufacturing projects in the past 4 years. Prior to joining NorthPoint Development, John served as the Kansas City area Operations Manager for Terracon Consultants.
With over 14 years of accounting/finance experience, Brett is responsible for overseeing internal and external financial reporting, managing banking and lending relationships along with the NorthPoint debt portfolio, collaborating with investors on new projects, and leading many of the back office functions of NorthPoint (A/P, A/R, IT and Insurance). Prior to joining NorthPoint Development, Brett worked as CFO and controller of Briarcliff Realty as well as an accountant for Block Real Estate Services. He started his career as an accounting/sales analyst for Hometown America Management in Chicago. Brett is a licensed CPA and CFA Charterholder.
Amy brings over 20 years’ experience in the freight forwarding and customs brokerage industry. As CEO, Amy will be responsible for designing and implementing the business operation globally, managing relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and staff, as well as establishing policies that promote company culture and vision while overseeing the operations of the company. She is a Licensed Customs Broker, a Certified Export Specialist, and a Certified Customs Specialist.
Prior to joining NorthPoint Logistics Amy was the Vice President of Operations at Marisol International.
Dane is a co-founder and principal of ColdPoint. He has over 38 years of experience in the cold storage business. Prior to ColdPoint, Dane served for 29 years with URS Logistics, which merged with AmeriCold in 2000. While at URS and AmeriCold, he served as the Senior Vice President of Protein Warehouses. His responsibilities included 36 warehouses in 20 states. Dane oversaw 200 export loads per week and had direct managerial responsibilities for over 3.5 billion pounds of protein products per year. During this time, Dane’s team included over 1,000 associates. During his tenure, the company successfully completed over 2 million square feet of construction for protein products. In his current role, Dane leads ColdPoint’s sales team.
Since joining NorthPoint in July 2016 and starting the Cincinnati office, Tim has completed or has industrial projects under development in multiple markets in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, Ohio; Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, and Georgia totaling over 5 million square feet. Tim has oversight of all aspects of project execution including due diligence, design/engineering, all the way through construction.
Prior to joining NorthPoint, Tim worked for a regional design/build & development firm in Cincinnati and completed national design/build projects for ARCO National Construction.
Christian oversees development in the Chicagoland market. His 20 years of real estate and design/ build industrial construction experience coupled with his national experience helps ensure project development efficiency from conception to completion.
Prior to joining NorthPoint, Christian was the VP, Development Manager for Prologis.
Benjamin is responsible for the Beyond Self Storage initiative, where he oversees the data analysis, investor relationships, and strategic planning with each business unit. To date, the team has deployed $500,000,000 of total capital in strategically located, infill sites across more than 15 markets.
Prior to NorthPoint, Ben served as the VP of Business Development for Infegy, a technology company in Kansas City, honing his creativity and passion on growing business through new channels and untapped markets.
As General Counsel, Tim heads up NorthPoint’s legal department and actively represents NorthPoint in connection with its real estate portfolio.
Tim has practiced real estate law since his graduation from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2004. Over his career, Tim has represented clients in all facets of real estate law, including office, retail, and industrial leasing; purchase and sale transactions; local and state entitlements; and local, state, and Federal development incentives.
Prior to joining NorthPoint, Tim practiced as a partner with the national law firm, Polsinelli PC.
During his 10 plus year career in real estate, Ian has participated in all facets of transactions in excess of $2 billion in value, including site selection, acquisition and entitlement, local and state development and business incentives, joint venture and other financing arrangements, and project management. He has experience appearing in front of state agencies, municipal boards and councils across the country.
Prior to joining NorthPoint, Ian worked in the real estate transaction, finance, and development practice group of a large national law firm.
During his 27 year career Tom has developed over thirty million square feet of industrial buildings, twenty business parks, and 2200 acres of land. Tom is the first employee in the Chicago office of NorthPoint and will oversee projects in Illinois and other Midwestern states.
Prior to joining NorthPoint Tom was Director of the Midwest Region for IDI Gazeley.
Tim joined NorthPoint Development in late 2016 as a Project Manager based out of our Cincinnati office. Responsible for overseeing the design and construction of all Beyond Self Storage facilities, Tim ensures that a quality product is consistently delivered. With a rich history of experience to support the needs of his current role, Tim brings the ability to perform under the pressure of a deadline. Prior to joining NorthPoint, he spent 12 years in construction management with Al. Neyer in Cincinnati and is a United States Air Force veteran.
Thom joined NorthPoint Development as the Vice President of Operations of our ColdPoint Logistics division in the fall of 2016. He brings over 25 years of experience as an operations leader supporting 3PL cold storage facilities. As of January 2018 Thom continues his leadership role as the CEO and is responsible for the strategic planning and growth of our cold storage platform.
Prior to joining NorthPoint, Thom executed the operations, sales and continuous improvement initiatives for 2 of the top privately owned cold storage companies.
Jenna is responsible for overseeing strategic operations for the Beyond Self Storage portfolio. With extensive multi-site property management experience, Jenna has a history of building successful teams and increasing value for both new construction and stabilized assets.
A member of the NorthPoint Development team since 2013, Jenna has been instrumental to the growth, success, and partnerships formed under NorthPoint Luxury Communities, and is a valued “Culture Keeper” for the firm.
It is no secret that Toni has the biggest
heart. She is the first to donate, volunteer, or offer
Recently, a resident at Summit Square had knee replacement surgery. She is a single person living alone with her dog, Bella. She came in to ask for recommendations on where she could board Bella since she couldn’t care for her after her surgery. Toni stepped up and cared for Bella for almost a month while the resident recovered!
Toni’s generosity comes naturally and quickly. Another day, a frantic resident called to ask if someone could take him to the ER. Without a second thought, Toni grabbed her keys and raced towards his building. When they arrived, she waited inside with him to make sure he was checked in and settled. He is beyond grateful for quick actions and the kind gesture.
Toni is the person you can count on. We are grateful to have her on our Multi-Family team!
Through some charitable work that Courtney does she heard about a family in the Dominican Republic that was going through a hard time. She learned that 3 sisters had just lost their Mother and that their Father had left them a few years earlier. These young kids were now on their own and vulnerable. The older sister, who was only 16 years old, had dropped out of school and was now trying to take care of the entire family. Courtney stepped in to help by donating much-needed funds for food and shelter. However, she knew that more needed to be done. She had seen pictures of their living conditions and knew they were in a bad part of town. These kids were in a very serious and risky situation.
Fortunately, we had just built a relationship with Global Orphan Project. In no time at all we developed a plan to manage the funds needed to get the three girls an apartment for a year, food, schooling, furniture, and connecting with their church for local support and community.
Adam has been diligently helping raise money for his best friends daughter who has been diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease.
Between NorthPoint and ColdPoint, enough money was raised to ensure that the family was able to continue to pay their daily expenses while spending every second in Children’s Mercy with their little girl. Their baby started her 6 weeks of chemo in September. The chemo should hopefully slow down the progression of the disease.
Adam’s drive to support his friend ensured that they could focus on their little girl.
