NorthPoint Development is preparing to increase its planned $40 million investment in the Fairfax Industrial District by roughly 50 percent.
Brent Miles, a vice president for the Riverside-based development firm, said a new project with a nearly $20 million price tag will include replacing six worn-out structures in the public-levee portion of the Fairfax district with a modern 342,000-square-foot industrial building.
