Kansas City multifamily construction sees a new, higher ceiling

The first residential development at the Village West district near the Kansas Speedway is underway, a $30 million upscale apartment project along 110th Street near the T-Bone’s ballpark.

The first apartments in the 306-unit development are expected to be available by this fall, according to Nathaniel Hagedorn, president and chief executive of NorthPoint Development. visit website

The developer believes the project’s location in western Wyandotte County by the booming retail, entertainment and Cerner office project currently going up in Village West will be appealing. “Our biggest asset is our location,” Hagedorn said Thursday.

“We expect to attract 450 residents who will be able to walk to Sporting Kansas City games, the T-Bones, the Legends shopping center and Cerner. I think we have the best site and best product.”…
