Where do you get your ideas for perks, benefits and activities to implement?

By asking our employees what is important to them, we learn what is valued and desired. We form teams across departments to construct our bonus program and to plan company trips. Employees are encouraged to identify exceptional effort so that we can acknowledge and reward excellent work. Each employee has the opportunity to provide input into the design of our new corporate office.

What makes your employees want to come to work every day?

The vast majority of the NPD staff view their employment as an opportunity to make a significant contribution to our overall company goals. Every employee feels empowered, every day, to make a positive influence on our company goals.

How do you plan to remain a Best Place to Work in the future?

As we grow, we will stand by our core values with the goal of maintaining an environment where team members are valued and appreciated, and in turn, mirror that to our customers. We treat each other as family, with kindness and respect.

Notable perks:

Participation in the employee bonus pool; travel when a company goal is accomplished (most recent trip was to Bora Bora, and we are planning our next trip for 2017 — spouses included); catered lunches three times a week with a stocked kitchen throughout the week; free gym membership; continued education reimbursement; excellent benefits package, including matching 401(k) contributions and 75 percent of medical premiums paid for employee and family.

Employee take:

“I feel very strongly that NorthPoint Development is the best place to work. I call myself a “lifer” and will not be leaving unless they drag me out the door. Their commitment to employees’ well-being professionally and personally is hard to match.”
