Quiet 3PF, which opened in September in Northwest Jacksonville, says its running head count will be 200 people year-round, and increase to 375-400 during peak season.
Brian Lemerise, president and chief operating officer, said in an emailed statement that the company hired 350 people for the 2020 peak at the fulfillment center.
The city issued a permit Jan. 11 for Quiet 3PF, the renamed Quiet Logistics, to build-out its office space at Park 295, the Northwest Jacksonville industrial center where it opened a 174,157-square-foot warehouse center.
Tenant Contractors Inc. is the contractor for the $199,217 office build-out.
The warehouse is at 2619 Ignition Drive at southwest Interstate 295 and Duval Road.
Quiet 3PF is a third-party logistics company. It said the Park 295 industrial center will handle inbound inventory processing and storage, outbound direct-to-customer processing and business-to-business order processing, including value-added services and returns management.
It could not comment on which clients’ products are handled at its facilities because of security and confidentiality.
“Jacksonville is a critical component of our national network with strong access to the Southeast through next day ground delivery from Atlanta to Miami, furthering our strategy to reach 45% of our end customers via same-day ground and 75% by next-day ground,” Lemerise said in September.
Quiet 3PF is leasing in the 552,634-square-foot Building B. It joins Ulta Beauty Inc., which occupies 203,463 square feet in the structure, and Sarnova, which is expected to rent 131,000 square feet.
NorthPoint Development, based in Kansas City, Missouri, is the Park 295 developer. Newmark Phoenix Realty Group of Jacksonville is the landlord’s representative.
NorthPoint Development and Newmark Phoenix Realty Group are marketing the remaining 44,000 square feet for lease in Building B.
Park 295 plans for expansion
With Building B just about filled, NorthPoint Development and Newmark Phoenix Realty Group are marketing Building C for lease at the Park 295 industrial center at southwest Interstate 295 and Duval Road in Northwest Jacksonville.
A project brochure says the 394,277-square-foot building, which is divisible for multiple tenants, will be available in the fourth quarter. It is west of Building B.
Building C is a cross-dock building. It is designed with 89 parking spaces for trailers and 406 for cars, and more spaces can be added.
“Early interest has been very good for this new speculative building, and we have leases pending that would fill the remaining vacancy in Bldg. B,” said John Richardson, president and prinicipal of Newmark Phoenix Realty Group, in an email Feb. 10.
The brochure also shows three future buildings: The 104,965-square-foot Building A, to the east of Building B, and the 436,100-square-foot Building D and 260,400-square-foot Building E, both west of Building C.
“Overall, industrial demand is strong in NE Florida, and we expect that to continue throughout 2021,” Richardson said.
